Community, Counseling, and Mediation, (CCM), is a non-profit agency whose mission is to heal old scars and the present pain and problems facing NYC’s poverty-stricken youth and families. CCM is Georgia’s Place’s parent agency.
The United Way of New York City has provided generous support in the initiation of our farm. It is through their seed grant that we have been able to create everything presently on our roof. We owe them huge thanks!
The Crown Heights CSA distributes from Georgia’s Place and has become our dear friends.
Sang Lee Farms provides the produce for the Crown Heights CSA. They have also advised us in our growing practices.
Magnusson Architecture and Planning, (MAP) are helping us with designs to expand and improve our rooftop farm.
Fort Cica Roofing provided the membrane and installed it.
OCV Architects designed and built Georgia’s Place with a green roof in mind. The building itself is beautiful and a great functioning space.
The Horticultural Society of New York is also working with us to get grants and establish the roof farm.
The Brooklyn Botanic Garden is a pillar in the Crown Heights community. We have forged a relationship with some people who work there who have agreed to help us with everything from advice to actually working with us on the roof farm.
